Yesterday's (last) walk in Acadia National Park showed popping colors under cloudy skies, a reflection of autumn in a clear body of water.

I enjoyed a cloudy last morning in Acadia National Park before it was time to drive home. I walked along Park Loop Road, listening to the ocean, looking at the rocks, absorbing the beauty.

Sometimes a short trip is perfect; this one made me happy.

It was a gray afternoon with some sprinkles falling - but it was a good afternoon for a walk on the Witch Hole Pond Loop in Acadia National Park.

It was a wicked windy day today - but still a good day to walk in Acadia National Park.

I’m increasingly convinced you could teach an entire undergrad research methods course around the question “what are the electoral effects of moderation?”. Just need survey experiments to enter the chat
NYT pushed its “Dems must go moderate” take again yesterday. In a new piece out today, @adambonica.bsky.social shows even more clearly why the data don’t support it. It also shows what a skilled empiricist and teacher Adam is.

Very proud of my pal’s public work.

The New York Times’ “Moderation Advantage” Is a Statistical Illusion
After accounting for money and incumbency the supposed electoral bonus for moderate candidates vanishes entirely.

The entire Acadia National Park feed is delightful and wonderful (bsky.app/profile/did:...), but also at times misleading.

There are a lot of people there in the summer and it is often very crowded.
A beautiful sunset at Acadia National Park at the Bass Harbor Head Light. There were so many people there, it was hard to balance on a rock to get this photo without heads or elbows in my shot!.

For #BlueSkyMonday, the sky was surely lovely when we visited Cadillac Mountain in Acadia N.P. last month. From the top you could see many of the smaller surrounding islands.

Iconic place. Remember stopping here so many times. Really unique place.
Road-tripping to Bar Harbor Maine and stumbled onto this place. Did we stop? Did I go in? Did I find a book for tonight's after dinner read?

Yes, yes, yes.

As long as you're doing a conjoint with about 1,000 iterations, you should have enough power.
cost saving idea: verbally claim that you're using Lucid panel data, by which you mean that you actually asked two people called Lou and Sid
