It's a bit of a relief to finally launch this. Not that I was short on ideas or anything (I rarely am; sorry, anxiety), but taking the time to select one of appropriate quality required a commitment I hadn't yet been willing to invest in. It should be unsurprising to you then, Reader, that the coincidence of coming across Seedr seemed like a funny bit of kismet.

It’s okay to be glad that restaurants are doing stuff like this AND absolutely furious about the utter failure of the United States government.

So his strategy is to release a full-featured, high-quality game from the start, rather than selling us content and improvements later on?

I bet this guy doesn't make it very far in the industry.

THE FOOD BANK GOT BACK TO ME I MAY HAVE HELP SOON.

Thank you for all the kindness so far. I'm going to run away from the post now to avoid crying more.

Here are some emojis representative of my mood, as compensation: 🥹😭😮‍💨😊🥰💙💜😤💪

To anyone who still espouses that cancel culture is a thing, please remember that louie seekay (I won't train my keyboard to predict his name) won a Grammy in 2022. Five years after being outed as a sex pest and moaning on stage to his supportive fans about his life being over. Now the Saudi money.

True fans don't wonder how many "all right"s there are in Hey Ya. We just start saying "all right" and don't stop till it's enough, counting as we go.

For those who want an update on my current situation (heads up, it's a little long and is the opposite of fun), here are the links. Both say essentially the same thing.

This is STELLAR joke construction.

...not a funny observation, haha, but a sincere one, at least.

If Sakurai has any respect for ME personally (and I did save his life that time at Machu Picchu, I'm sure you'll recall), he'll announce the surprise OG Switch release that somehow has no performance concessions.

Been a fan since EGM, though this is the first time I've ever reached out (apart from some comments on your 1up articles). Itagaki-san gave me some of my fondest memories of the first consoles I bought myself, Xbox and PS2 (Black and DOA2). You will make this book excellent; know that we know that.

Man, Ryu's headgear has always been so cool.

And rest in peace, Itagaki-san. I'm looking forward to @milkman.bsky.social finishing that book you and he were working on. I know he'll do a fantastic job.

I fully grasp why Minecraft is always on these charts. Like, my brain is capable of processing that. It's huge, it's fun, babies are born every day and the next they're given a copy at their christening. I get it. But SEEING it there, STILL, after all these years... somehow that seems unreal to me.

Years ago, after too much vodka and months of curiosity, I kicked down a tiny, knobless door in my house. It led to a useless demi-attic containing an old sandal, 1,000 spiders, and no loot.
The next day, I bought some wood and paint for an unrelated, very cool, and not at all embarrassing reason.

19/21, not bad! I genuinely thought I'd do much worse. And I didn't even know there WERE quizzes to be had at Nintendo Life; this was super fun!
Today was... very difficult for me. I really appreciated such a nice little distraction.

A well-written AND well-researched exploration of colonialism and neglected indigenous representation in a video game? Yes, please. But of a Pokémon game, something many fans are willing consider at only a surface level as long as the dopamine hits arrive on schedule? Ooh, don't mind if I do INDEED.

If you hear someone ask, "Is it worth it?" and your immediate thought is, "Lemme work it," I have news for you: you and I are basically third cousins. Welcome to the family. Brenda brought mashed potatoes.

Gah, a guy asked if he could have cocaine shipped to my house. I said no and I want to block his number, but he recently offered to let me use his recycling bin. I haven't had waste service in a bit and things are piling up.
Glad he didn't offer me money for it. Bad start, Sunday. 🤦‍♂️

I'm in my 30s. I feel like I shouldn't have become jaded by relatives saying, "I'm so sorry for your loss; if you need anything, ANYTHING, don't hesitate to ask."
I guess the unspoken bit was "...because it's no trouble for me to not answer the phone." Fair enough. My fault for assuming.

I couldn't stop thinking about this thread, so I expanded and refined it into... an essay, I suppose. The thread wasn't bad, and the essay's not much longer, but I find it to be much stronger overall.

I've struggled to cut ableist language from my vernacular over the years. It's difficult because of how deeply ingrained it is in our communication, from formal to creative, professional to casual. We frame our thoughts with it to such a degree that we create false, hurtful equivalencies.

I love this photo I just took because it looks so sweet and angelic, but I'm pretty sure Charlie was actually grooming one of his paws, once again making his cleanliness everyone else's business, while Grace exercised her usual patience.
