There were 93 homicides in London last year: population 9 million

In New York - population 8.5 million - there were
391.

London's homicide figure is 6 times lower than LA, 9 times lower than Miami, 17 times lower than Chicago.

And it's falling year on year despite the population increasing

Extortion?
Maduro secretly offered the US a large share of Venezuela's 300 bn barrel oil reserves to prevent a military clash, NYT reports.

Trump turned it down. Talks could still be ongoing though, with the aircraft carrier deployment aimed at pressuring Maduro for better terms.

Turns out Johnson wasn’t Churchill after all, but Lord Haw Haw?
Temerko, a Soviet-born oligarch and a major Conservative donor, told Belton that he and Johnson spent time… plotting the overthrow May. According to Temerko, Johnson had finally been persuaded to back Brexit in 2016 by a group of “eastern European businessmen”.

Think the Post Office scandal is an isolated case of public sector immunity from scrutiny of its cock ups?

They are endless. Nobody will be held to account.

Yes, Prime Minister.

Is the government hostage to the Civil Service?

Numbers of CS are up, yet again, but, grade inflation is costing us billions a year too.

I agree we need more public spending. But it’s got to be efficient.

Then it put me in a doom loop.
