Since I'll be paying for Lansdowne 2.0 instead of ending homelessness or funding transit, and since stadiums are public good now, I very much look forward to attending all events there for free and I will expect regular cheques in the mail with profits from all the new retail and condos.

@glengower.ca Hey Glen! Breaking my social media sabbatical to say that I think Lansdowne 2.0 sucks the big one. I don't know why we're concerned that OSEG isn't making as much money as they would like. Looking forward to 3.0 when 2.0 doesn't live up to expectations for them.

Thinking about Lansdowne 2.0 and wondering why the city would even want to own and operate a dumb stadium because like, cities don't own stadiums! But then I checked and... they do?? Sometimes???

if landsdowne 2.0 is a public space for public benefit then i expect all events to be free and for it to be available for ottawa residents to rent/access/use.
Mayor arguing that Lansdowne 2.0 doesn’t meet to make money is a framing I wasn’t expecting. Good on CBC for pushing that this isnt like a library or transit that is a service. Mayor pushing that this is public space for public benefit 1/
