Watch that Tchaikovsky skate and compare it to tonight's with her own music, own costume, own choreography, own schedule, own team.

Look at how walking away from the art that hurts you, finding your own voice, and coming back to it in a new way can change everything.

Today we are launching a new intitative of Stand With Minnesota—KeepMNHoused.com, a rent-relief campaign backed with a $1.5 matching fund from the Wilson Foundation.

Thousands of MN families are at risk of eviction because of the ICE occupation’s lasting impacts. We can keep them housed.

Yo deportation is fucking violence too
Hillary Clinton: "More people were deported under my husband and Barack Obama without killing American citizens and without putting children into detention camps than were in the first Trump term or this first year of Trump's second term."

Piano teachers, what resources would you want to feel comfortable teaching Hensel’s works? I want to make materials for you
Piano teachers—do you have work-specific teaching materials for any of Fanny Hensel’s compositions?

I’m looking to start a library and we should talk.

Pictures at an Exhibition: The Hut on Chicken’s Legs -> Great Gate of Kiev
This begs the question: what's your classical music needle drop for When It Happens? No Hallelujah Chorus, that's too easy.

Mine is Brahms Symphony 1, movement 4.
You know, one needle drop for When It Happens is absolutely the big finale from the 1812 Overture, V for Vendetta style

IF SOMEONE SENDS ME A RECORDING OF THIS PIECE ON A REAL PIANO, I’LL RELEASE A FRISKING BABY GOATS SUPERCUT
A possible root for the term "capriccio" is "capra" ("goat"), which I think is perfect for this piece, since these little doodleedoos perfectly imitate the feeling in my heart when I see a baby goat frisking (jumping around like this)
a brown and white sheep is standing in a pile of wood chips .
Alt: a brown and white baby goat is jumping sideways in a pile of wood chips.

200 years ago today, on February 8, 1826, Fanny Hensel composed a strange little piano piece - a Capriccio in F-sharp major (H165).

It was the start of a micro-era of three weird little solo piano compositions she wrote in February 1826.
