Had the best hummus tonight at Aviv in Miami. Every bite of the meal was stellar. Related: I’m so full, I can’t take a deep breath

Ok, yes the view. But more importantly, this mug is an affront to my left-handedness.

Well, somehow we made it out of our snowed-in neighborhood and on the plane. Still skeptical until wheels up, but this is already exceeding expectations

Tried to shovel this muck and it’s literally like shoveling heavy wet mud. Very thankful we don’t have to work today, but also very sad our flight to Miami got cancelled 😭

All stocked up for the storm. Milk and bread are overrated.

Med school classmate became a local orthopedist. People describe him as a nice family guy. He’s an enormous online troll/bully and says wildly offensive shit. I’d never refer a patient to him and it’s insane there’s no consequences for this nonsense.

Our house backs up to woods but on the other side of the woods is a church that holds long wailing loud services. End result: sitting in my family room and it sounds like the trees behind me are crying.

So someone asked me to retell the story of the old lady that told me about killing her husband. Are we ready for a trip back in time to 1999? Some of you already know this story, but if you don't it is a wild ride. Apply all appropriate trigger warnings!

I think one thing about the internet age is that we all watch the world decay and burn together and a stark bifurcation appears: it was never us/them, one country versus another. The good people from every country hold each other and fight together against the powers of evil that hurt us all
I don’t know why but this post has made me feel overwhelmed with sadness and loneliness and now I’m crying like a baby. So strange.

Not even 40 years old, and I’m getting over a second bout of shingles. Really looking like a lot less of a mystery as to why this is happening given we got to wake up this morning to *gestures wildly*

Trying to decide if I have shingles. Again.

Love the text from work that we’re out of viral swabs until Monday. Makes me real excited for my shift later.

Anyway, I’m sitting here blowing up balloons so he can wake up to celebrations in the morning. Feels like such a normal parenting thing, but this was so hard won and so deserved.

Last year, kiddo was deep in burnout when his birthday came around and we celebrated lightly in a way he could handle. After a hard year of healing, he’s so much better and asked for more birthday celebrations this year. 🥺🥺
