The Netherlands finishing only 18 runs short of victory against India was a pretty decent showing at the end of their group stage. Really thought it could have been more of a drubbing.

Roelof with an incredible catch, not bad for an auld fella! 😂 India 3 wickets down now, sure they’re not too concerned atm.

Pakistan 🇵🇰 confirmed their place in the Super 8s; rolled Namibia 🇳🇦 today who were all out for 97, think that’s the lowest score of the tournament so far. Ramadan Mubarak to Pakistan! #T20WC 🏏

Wishing much happiness to those partaking!
Today is the first day of Ramadan, the first day of Adar, Lunar New Year and Mardi Gras.

This means that for one reason or another, the majority of humans on the planet have a reason to eat fried food, and that is beautiful.
Ramadan Mubarak!

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Laissez bon temps rouler!

Hodesh Adar tov!

Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 finish on 170-7, bit of a collapse from 132-1. Will see how well they bowl today.

Think this says everything about the man.
Jesse did not inherit a finished road. He walked a broken one.

He ran when they said he could not win.

He widened the door & wedged it open for those coming after.

Thanks for carrying the weight when it was heavy.

The work hasn't finished, but it's a lighter burden due to him.

Rest in power.

Whoop whoop, unexpected half day as turns out two of us booked in on an all day shift today! Got a few jobs done, now heading home to listen to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 v Nepal🇳🇵in the #T20WorldCup. Scotland’s can’t qualify for the Super 8s but a win would be nice. 🤞🏻🏏 Nice hearing Tymal Mills on comms!

Watching Mock The Week, the only downside of Hugh Dennis being back is there’s no Ed Byrne.

Really interesting segment featuring Sorrel talking about her experience of getting measles at 19. People forget what a horrible disease it can be and just how infectious it is.
My interview starts at about 6 minutes if anyone is interested in hearing about what it’s like to get the measles and why it’s probably best avoided www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Facebook reminding me that on this day 10 years ago, The People vs OJ Simpson started on BBC Two; it was absolutely gripping and a real talking point in the staff room at work. Still one of the best telly programmes I’ve ever watched.

Now, as much as I’m a huge fan of the Ireland 🇮🇪 men’s cricket 🏏 team, I’ll not be too disappointed if Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 beat them tomorrow, just for the satisfaction of Australia 🇦🇺 failing to qualify for the Super 8s as a result. 😂 Well done Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 on an 8 wicket win with 2 overs to spare. 🥳

What a shame, but she’s been excellent in the commentary box when I’ve heard her.

This.

Brewdog is your classic failed "first-mover."

They entered the market, at scale, when that market (something slightly better/edgier in mainstream shops and bars) was wide open.

Their offering was above-average and sometimes great (e.g. their non-alcs). But they made the classic mistake /1
I think Keith’s spot on here. People want Brewdog’s beers to be bad for moral reasons, but while they’re not as exciting as they were, they’re still fine (though taste is subjective and clearly if you despise the brewers that will affect your enjoyment). As I said yesterday, I hope a buyer is found.

Nice afternoon and early evening of card making.

Delighted to see Melie Kerr is the new White Ferns captain! Big shoes to fill mind you but sure she’ll do well.

Been a saddo and kept my work fleeces to wear around the house rather than binning them; work don’t want them returned, they’re perfectly serviceable and very cosy!

Watched the documentary on NOW TV about Victoria Wood; didn’t tell me much new about her work, although more insight from Geoffrey Durham was interesting. Most interesting is the absence of Julie Walters (other than in performance clips), maybe she felt she’d said everything previously.

Having a 🏏 free morning (keeping an eye on scores on the BBC Sport app); saving it for Pakistan v India this afternoon. Will try to find my card making mojo; need to make a card for a pal who’s been a bit poorly. Hard to find enthusiasm when nowt’s selling. Might donate them to charity.
