Right! Of 770,000 tons of rice imported, only 100,000 tons are for human consumption

Interesting report. But, as far as I know, Japanese strongly prefer Japanese rice. This stems from their belief in the superior quality of local rice and the strong influence of the Japan Agricultural Cooperatives, which restrict imports—contributing to the recent rice crisis in Japan.

🆕 The first stunning images from our groundbreaking #Biomass satellite mission have been released – they mark a major leap forward in our ability to understand how Earth’s forests are changing and exactly how they contribute to the global carbon cycle 🌳🌍

Bad papers can do more harm than none...

Definitely quality > quantity. But the challenge lies in how to evaluate 'quality'. I've come across poorly written papers in top journals and seen poor papers get significant citations.

This is a very timely article. Pray for Landsat Next!

A final farewell to Landsat 7. Farewell to the scan line errors… but gratitude for the improved thermal band and better spatial coverage. You served us well, thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
