The daughter in Wellington is hunkering down and watching the spray from the sea, likely containing poo, blowing sideways and hitting all the houses. They're calling it a shartnado 😆

Cool view from the deck this morning. A beautiful rainbow 🌈 one end lands where the old Aretere ferry is still mored up, the other end in the sewage plant. Perhaps a divine commentary on this govts handling of the new ferries? Who knows... Nelson, NZ

Nail marks in mushrooms at the supermarket. I carefully inspect each one before it goes in the bag. Who knows what could have been under those nails, and no way to wash it off now it's INSIDE THE MUSHOOM!
What’s something very minor that still upsets you deeply?

I HATE when the tag on the sheets/blanket somehow end up near my upper body on the bed. Gotta fix that shit IMMEDIATELY every time.

Contributing to world health seems like a much better spend to me. #nzpol

Finishing the weekend sitting in the sun with a local wasabi gin after a busy weekend. I've been hosting a band from Wellington for a couple of days (go see Krakerjack, they're awesome!), and a then doing a spot spot of gardening. It's feeling summery again here in Nelson NZ

On my own this week and I'm crap at cooking for one. Dinner was a few chips at the pub, cashew cheese and crackers, and cracked this one open for dessert. Btw these new choc-dipped peaches are dangerous (They're vegan too!)

This is Kevin. He's a reactive dog getting some training to be more comfortable. His trainer brought him to a pet store for some socialization where they learned he is no longer reactive when given a giant stuffed dinosaur. 14/10 (TT: katieandtatesfostermates)

This fella was hanging out by the front door at work. Work is right next to a very busy roundabout on an industrial estate in Nelson NZ. Nature finds a way I guess. He/she was super cute 😍

TBH Treasury is just 'modelling' alternatives. However, I am frankly astonished to see the paper takes no account of the 7 year gap in life expectancy between Māori (75.8) & Europeans (82.8) or the near 6 year gap between Europeans & Pasifika (76.9).

Pay equity funeral march this morning in Nelson Whakatū. Well organised and attended. Poignant speeches from a nurse and a carer. Many photographers so hopefully the msg will get out there. At the end there were sausages, ballons for the kids and a stall helping folks to register to vote #nzpol
