A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

The Guardian has a rough outline of what the Tulsi whistleblower complaint is about: NSA found someone close to Trump in contact with foreign intelligence, and rather than doing something about that, Tulsi brought the report to Susie Wiles.

Layoffs announced: 108,435. This is the worst for the month of January since the 2009 Great Recession.

New jobs announced: 5,306—the lowest January total ever recorded.

AWFUL news tonight. This blesses the “mandatory” detention in the 5th Circuit without bond (and little chance at habeas) of every undocumented immigrant who originally entered across the border, no matter how many decades in the past.

It will fuel ICE’s push to transfer people to Texas immediately.
BREAKING: A 5th Circuit panel has backed ICE's mass detention policy, a decision that clears the way for the administration to lock up people who are in immigration proceedings

It's a 2-1 ruling
Majority: Jones (Reagan), Duncan (Trump)
Minority: Douglas (Obama)

I can’t stress this enough. The state of 4th Amendment law is that the cops can’t force you to type in a passcode but they can force you to swipe your finger or present your face. Never stop using passcodes/passwords to unlock your devices. And consider additional code to unlock Signal.
The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Trump has posted on Truth Social about 65 times in the last 90 minutes, including a video he posted at 8:44 PM PT describing election fraud lies that shows racist AI images of Michelle and Barack Obama as monkeys at the end. I’ve confirmed this is real and watched it myself.

Thanks to the fascist MAGA regime, the US and Russia now have no limits on nuclear weapons for the first time in several decades after purposely letting a major arms treaty expire.

I’ll never regret voting for Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton. They warned everyone.

Newly released DOJ documents show that investigators reviewing surveillance footage from the night of Jeffrey Epstein's death observed an orange-colored shape moving up a staircase toward the isolated, locked tier where his cell was located at approximately 10:39 pm on Aug 9, 2019.
Who entered Epstein's jail tier the night of his death? Newly released video logs appear to contradict official accounts.
Newly released documents from the Epstein files raise more questions about activity seen on video from the jail the night he died.

President Trump doesn’t care about fraud.

If he cared, he would have supported the HHS agency tasked with rooting out Medicaid and Medicare fraud instead of refusing to fill vacant positions.

This is a pretense to attack Democratic-led states, pure and simple.

We won’t stand for it.

Toddlers don't belong in detention, and Congress must end funding for these sites of abuse.
