No one on the left or the centre does this. No one on the left ever demands we should take someone who has recently been elected to high public office on the back of a fair election and "terminate" their authority to occupy that office. The right does this repeatedly. The centre and the left do not.

The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

If Trump is deteriorating - and it appears that he is - it may only be a matter of a few months before his acolytes and accomplices start jockeying for the post Trump era. Once that starts, once the loyalty start to fray, it’s a matter of time before one or two break with him and then they all do.

It seems just to be taken for granted now that someone is more dangerous because they're an asylum-seeker than because they're a criminal.
