We have been rightly afraid of the threat of bad actors using AI to create disinformation.

It's appalling that one of the first of those bad actors is in the White House. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Yes! I also get "comically angry" about the pub queue phenomenon: it also blocks access for other customers, especially wheelchair users.

"Everyone uses AI in their daily life" No I fucking don't actually.

2026 and I still have no clue how to even access chatGPT, never touched any Gen AI, never got into the stupid Ghibli pfp trend, and I scroll pass the AI Summary every time I google anything.

In short, every shithead you don't ban costs you ten other customers.

"A [potentially regular] customer doesn't say anything but never comes back" doesn't register with you as An Event the way that kicking someone out (temporarily or permanently) does, so it's extremely easy to miss it.

Made another scrappy, scruffy puffin based on Jill McDonald’s Puffin Post illustrations.
A lovely things about these not being “for” anything is that it allows them to be imperfect & hamfisted: there being no pressure on them means my sewing is actually slowly slightly improving a bit with each one

If Trump’s concern was drugs, he’d not have pardoned Honduras’s corrupt leader; if terrorism, he’d have gone after Iran; if world order, Russia; if preserving US power, China. If democracy, human rights or humanitarian motive, dozens of other worthy cases. What’s left is oil. And Epstein.

We just watched the surviving episodes of 1976 TV series The Georgian House, a shame so many episodes are lost as it seemed like an interesting (if variably acted) series.

I’ve done some catalogue searching and am fairly confident in saying that 5/10 titles in this list do not exist (1, 2, 4, 5 and 7).
Sloppy, unacceptable, and a real kick in the guts to real authors with real books they’d love people to buy and read!
#4 sounds like a lovely book but I didn't write it. Have had whānau up and down the country send me clippings lol
Whoever put together this list that has been circulated to regional papers, didn't fact check.

I feel like “men involving themselves in women’s bodies” is a very large problem on multiple fronts that no one wants to discuss.
“Miss, do you agree with the sign?”

“Absolutely not. My great niece was 4 months pregnant and her fetus had no skull. And because of men involving themselves in women’s bodies she was forced to deliver the fetus… there’s a reason God created medicine.”🔥
