I’m invoking the Housing Act 1874 and declaring a state of exception in my flat. Until the emergency is resolved, I am suspending the cleaning rota indefinitely. All dishes will be cleaned by my housemate Sock until the kitchen is back under control.

Asimov’s foundation series does this very well in my opinion.
I wish there was more fiction featuring a slow decline/collapse of civilization, rather than just jumping straight in the post-apocalyptic setting. If nothing else, it'd be nice to have something to compare and contrast our current reality to.

Hmm but on behalf of all Sikh heritage atheists you ppl don’t know how good you have it being dragged to Christian services by your grandma. Yes there’s no food but there’s a beginning middle and end, things happen, you stand up, sit down, sing and you’re out within an hour

I think I might actually be physically fit now. just realised that the Wednesday night skates I’ve been doing for a few weeks straight now are 30km long! it’s easier than running obviously but even so, it’s a lot of exercise
