in practice people only avoid assuming pronouns for people they suspect might be trans, it's just woke degendering
hot take: I think we should go back to assuming peoples pronouns. if we get it wrong, we should be corrected, say "thank you for correcting me", and not get it wrong again.

I don't know if it's just me, but I've gotten the sense recently that transphobia a political tool is already played out. Not only is it not a winner, but it really feels like the right overplayed their hand with anti-trans hate and people generally seem sick of it, sick of bulling running on hate.
As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.
The way forward is together, not over the bodies of our own.

You see mainstream big releases that have little to no trans women or AMAB talent in the cast.
Then you see a project like this that’s indie and “inclusive” - except again it excludes these talents - and it STILL has the talent from the mainstream releases.
