I don't think its up to the perpetrators of discrimination, harassment or bullying to make a judgment on the damage and pain they themselves caused to others with their vile behavior.
Asked again and again whether he ever racially abused his fellow pupils, as 20 people at his old school have now said he did, Nigel Farage will only say that he never did so in a "hurtful way" or "with intent"

I have recently developed a fascination with regional anaesthesia, especially with regards to chest wall blocks for cardiac surgery.

So, looking forward to this workshop by @esra-society.bsky.social in February.

The Guardian are reporting a significant increase in Jewish people voting for the Green Party.

It's almost like many of us grew up learning a history of persecution & violence.

We don't oppose the Genocide in spite of being Jewish but because of it.

Never again for everyone.

On the other hand, I want to make the UK the most beautiful, safe & fair place on the planet where people live together in harmony supporting & nurturing each other and where poverty, war & prejudice become stories of the past.

I have a dream and that’s one thing regressive politics can’t take.
Yesterday the UK Home Secretary said in a TV interview, and I quote: "We want to make the UK a less attractive place for people to come." Job well done on that score, I'd say.
I don’t know what to say anymore other than to remind those in power that refugees are human beings with equal rights who, along with their children, deserve a safe, stable & integrated life in their communities and that what they’re breaking now with this performative cruelty can’t be fixed later.

Quite fittingly, the Home Secretary is dressed in Reform-style blue.

After a year of sucking up, the PM can’t even get Donald Trump on the phone as he tries to destroy one of our most important institutions, the BBC.

Was the state visit really worth this?

There is no evidence that stripping refugees' rights one by one will have any impact on people crossing the channel.

Taking jewellery from refugees is akin to painting over murals for refugee children.

These repugnant ‘deterrents’ did not work for the Tories, and they won't work for us.

London is also diverse. It's hugely multicultural, and it's a largely tolerant and welcoming place.

Sure it has it's problems and the housing crisis is a big one.

But the haters don't hate this city because of that.

They hate it because it stands as living proof that multiculturalism works.

Labour has done everything possible to out-Reform Reform and they are still surprised that they’re haemorrhaging support. This is why I genuinely believe Labour will continue boosting Green party membership to unprecedented numbers.

Anybody who had a vision to bring American levels of political, cultural and social polarisation to Britain - whether their motive was clicks or cash, ideology, boredom or anything else - would make it their top strategic priority to abolish the BBC, or to damage and diminish it at the very least
Quick thread on the BBC and the political and societal significance of recent developments:

One of the main reasons the UK has historically been so much less polarised than the US, is that Britain has a shared source of information, consumed and trusted by most people regardless of their politics.

In 'How They Broke Britain', I do a pretty good job of detailing the depth & breadth of Tufton Street/Tory/Murdoch/Mail attempts to scupper the BBC, even as I castigate some presenters for going too easy on precisely the people who seek the Corporation's abolition. But I should have done more. 1/2
