As a former educator, I know the challenges early career teachers face. But a strong education system needs a strong teacher workforce. We surveyed new teachers across the country to better understand what they need to stay in the field.

People under guardianship face a patchwork of voting laws that create confusion, inequity, and disenfranchisement.

I break down the data and offer state + federal solutions to protect the franchise in a new report—Democracy Denied for Disabled Americans: Guardianship and the Right To Vote.

The Trump administration’s attacks on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility hinder Head Start providers' ability to serve the very communities that Congress directed them to serve.

We're in court defending this essential program.
According to a new court filing, the Trump administration has a six-page list of banned words that Head Start locations are forbidden from using when describing their programs.
Among the censored words: "disability," "race," "women," "trauma," "Gulf of Mexico." Short thread with the full list. 🧵

ICE has been targeting young kids for months, separating families and instilling fear.

Tell Congress to pass legislation ensuring no child is arrested without a warrant and coerced to give up their rights by immigration agents.
ICE: Stop Terrorizing Children
ICE is traumatizing children as young as 14 – trying to strip them of their rights while they're without attorneys or family to help them. Take action against these horrific abuses now.

In the before times, this would have had EVERY SINGLE governor across the country up in arms. Gov. Mike Braun is also a Republican, so
Republicans announce the entire state of Indiana will be defunded if they do not obey Trump by gerrymandering their state.
