Democratic politicians have, though, pursued growth in GDP at the expense of other values. One response to @jburnmurdoch.ft.com pessimistic scenario is refocus on those values, combined with egalitarianism, sufficiency and quality of life. Not "it's the economy, stupid" but "it's the the society"

Putin has an extreme hatred for American exceptionalism and wants to make the US look like Russia on the world stage. In order for that to happen, he needs Trump & the other Republicans to behave like Russia.

I did a quick thread about a niche but really consequential mass surveillance legal authority that is set to expire in the next few months. When Congress attempts to reauthorize it we need people to *wake up* to the threat this is in the hands of the Trump administration and rein it in.
Start putting on Democratic radars: Section 702 expires in April 2026 and we NEED to drastically limit its ability to spy in the US or used for immigration. It uses collected digital communications intended for overseas national security purposes to watch the US side of those communications & more.

SAS is discounting by 60% award travel booked today for travel up to December 8th. So a transatlantic SAS flight in economy class costs 12k EuroBonus points instead of the 30k SAS otherwise wants; in business class it’s 24k points instead of the 60k it would otherwise be. One-way prices.

That's a key element of fascism, that they don't accept the rules apply to them. They celebrate their criminality, because the purpose of the law is to criminalize the out-group, not restrain the in-group.
