I used to be a pretty big wheel down at the cracker factory.
Not even a Boro fan and I love this for him.

Adam Wharton is just sensational at the small, slick things that matter.

It was painfully obvious Crick was right about this at the time. Do we think these questions are not being asked now because a) nobody knows the answers, or because b) everyone knows the answers very well?

Grandad has won the Christmas toy competition this year with a four storey Thomas the Tank Engine play set almost as tall as the boy himself.

Figured out how to be kinder to myself and be happy for first time in maybe 15 or so years?
Quote this with what you have accomplished in 2025, no matter how big or small
Reading & writing has kept me alive this year.

Somehow, it’s been my most productive year as an author.

Here’s a guide to what I’ve published in 2025, in case you’ve lost track.

So glad to see this written about. It takes 4 - 6 (or more!) human labor hours of editing, mixing and mastering to make a 90 minute conversation flow nicely and artfully. Video-forward shows tend to excise this process entirely and the resultant conversations flow and sound like shit as a result.

Watching The Last Crusade. Explaining to Charlie that the naughty people Indy has to fight are some of the naughtiest people ever. No further details until he’s a fair bit older.

Mount knitted it all together in first half. Wonderfully intelligent footballer, IMO.
Panic stations on the ball right now. Nobody is composed. Mount going off has hurt us massively. And Cunha isnt able to get on it.

Only 56 games and 21 defeats into his tenure, Ruben Amorim concedes Manchester United would need “to spend a lot of money and time” to play “a perfect 3-4-3”, switches to 4-2-3-1 and they immediately look a more competent team against Newcastle.

Would this be football’s first sackable win?

Sesko is beyond good touch for a big man. He’s the most subtle, dainty six-foot-five human being I’ve ever seen play football.

This is a compliment.

Sesko, that was gorgeous.

This explains why I was always terrible at flow rolling.
I've trained BJJ and Kickboxing for years in multiple different countries from the US to Armenia to Georgia but absolutely nobody spars nearly as hard as the dutch.

The nicest, chillest casual dude you've ever met will start sparring like they are training for a UFC fight for no goddamn reason.

This was going to be the first boxing day in years where I actually had the chance to sit in the pub & watch football all day. No family visiting, no commitments, no work...but it's one match & an evening one at that. Here it kicks off at 9pm. Everyone should be dozing off on the sofa by that point.
I’ve spoken to so many people around the world in the last two weeks on various calls and every single one of them, in Africa, North and South America, and South East Asia, wanted to know why they weren’t getting the Premier League football they were expecting. Had something happened etc. Big miss.
This is the absolute essence of the argument.

Take your most cynical view of the Premier League and its brand.

Today is terrible for the brand. And for the broadcasters.

the money people would absolutely love to have a full slate of games today. it's become a famous branding that is known even in countries that have never heard of boxing day.
