She’s an enabler. She grew up in the chaos of an alcoholic home and as crazy as it sounds many children of alcoholics are drawn to alcoholics or alcohol personalities because it’s what they know. Both of my parents were alcoholics.
Maybe it's just me, but if I was chief of staff and I felt like I had to treat my boss like I do an alcoholic father, I'd be looking for another job rather than making myself complicit.

A single mom friend of mine (also single mom) wound up in the ICU with an infected & damaged because SHE COULDN’T AFFORD A DENTIST!
Did you know that a tooth abscess can result in heart damage? The infection travels thru the bloodstream & for reasons beyond me it travels to your heart.

My first memory of Rob Reiner was seeing him play Archie Bunker’s son-in-law, “Meathead.” He had me at “Thank God I’m an atheist,” and I have been a fan ever since. His movies were always wonderful, easy to watch again and again. He was outspoken about politics in the best way. He will be missed.

Ukraine was promised security in 1994 in exchange for giving up their nukes. For the life of me I can’t understand why they would expect promises from some of those same countries for future security.
If the West has avoided fighting Russia so far, why assume it would do so to defend Ukraine later?
The best security guarantees for Ukraine are a strong army and a defeated Russia, and Europe should transfer Russia’s frozen assets to make that happen
