Finally going to watch Lisa Frankenstein and I'm looking forward to it because Jennifer's Body rules.

Was about to get really sad that I couldn't find my copy of Ghostwatch and or The Wicker Man but I managed to dig them out. They're going in my room next to The Stone Tapes.

About 15 years ago I watched this horror film, and all I can remember is that it was either Korean or Japanese but I'm fairly sure it was Japanese and it strongly featured a shrine in an abandoned (or seemingly abandoned) village and a teenage girl. I can't find it anywhere.

Writing can be frustrating and exhausting, and sometimes it can feel like flying. Being able to articulate what I mean in words all the time has made me smarter and happier too. Writing a lot is deeply important and will change your life. Even if you think it sucks! It probably does at first!

I feel bad when I read people who say they hate writing, especially to the extent they’d let an LLM do it. Writing was the path to making me feel human and the emotional journey of doing it all the time fills me full of purpose. I refuse to believe I’m the only person who feels like this!

Sorry to get radical but I don’t think it’s my job or yours to embrace, accept, understand - and certainly not to use - the thing being sold to us as AI. I don’t like any part of it, so I won’t. I’m missing out? Good, that’s what I want. You’re worried about me missing out? That’s fuckin weird, man.

NEW: ChatGPT is encouraging stalkers, telling them they share a special bond with their targets -- and to keep harassing them even after they've been asked to stop

AI Delusions Are Leading to Domestic Abuse, Harassment, and Stalking
ChatGPT and other AI chatbots are reinforcing users' delusions about other people — fueling fixations linked to stalking and other abuses.

God, I'm almost done with my essay but I'm still battling just, some of the worst post viral fatigue I've had in a while. Literally going to bed at 7 PM and sleeping through till 3, with brief interludes to take meds etc.

Finally going to get round to properly playing Rogue Trader which has two of my favourite character archetypes in it: slutty femme rogue who is afraid of intimacy and femboy sub who's a real freak.

Horrors of Malformed Men rules oh my God.

You know, I do think that the first five minutes of The Dark Knight are easily some of the best in terms of pacing and action set up. The heist is so tightly shot and executed. I'm still mostly kind of ambivalent about most of the rest of it.

One of the nice things about rewatching Buffy is picking the good songs out from the shitey ones and I really like Louie Says, I think its a good bit of 90s pop.

Oh also, uh, new Legacy of Kain?! It's a prequel apparently but with how the timelines in the games work it could have elements of sequel and honestly? It could be terrible but I'm happy to give it a chance. Legacy of Kain is one of my favourite stories because it does high gothic gayboys so well.

Lie To Me in S2 of Buffy is such a good episode, I think the ending where Buffy asks Giles to lie to her is just one of those classically bittersweet moments that Buffy does so well.

If ever you think you yourself "wow Jessi shut the fuck up" just know that I'm also thinking that. I also just realised I haven't taken my meds for a while because I was waiting for my stomach to settle and then just forgot so I'll go back to being quiet and non manic. Probably.

Okay that's all my talking for the evening I'm very disappointed that nobody has complimented my bodacious bazongas, but that's life.

On the one hand sure, on the other Baldurs Gate 3 has multiple relationship moments where characters can and will break up with you for fostering codependency or validating harmful behaviours- if you say yes to everything Astarion or Shadowheart suggests they WILL break up with you later.

I played through Stories Untold a couple of times waiting for it to "click" for me and it never quite did, but I appreciate that Konami seems genuinely dedicated to funding smaller Devs who've done at least interesting things for horror such as No Code/Screen burn and Ryu07.

If you do not tell me I have bodacious bazongas I don't want to hear from you

I love that any time I actually WANT to play a Bethesda game the various updates and fixing things that weren't broken basically ensures I'll spend almost as much time trying to get it to run as anything else. What on earth? Hey you wanna play our game? Not without mandatory updates that break it.
