Remember, the big argument for AI in the arts is that these “artists” have ideas, hundreds of ideas, thousands, all that was stopping them was the hoards of gatekeeping musicians, writers, illustrators… and not that they were lazy and didn’t want to put in the work.

I wish some hit comedy series had, I don't know, created a character based on Tarantino who, through all the Hollywood talk on transmedia synergies, ends up making something perishable and useless for a suscription service instead of a movie.

I always have to side-eye authors who get on their soapboxes about being anti-colonialist and then act like the only way to tell a story is a narrow set of Western conventions and deem any deviations "something else." Like I get it, we all don't learn a lot about other cultures; so remember that?

Everybody should just pirate everything. Download all the ROMs you can, play old games that Nintendo wants to charge you $60 for the privilege of playing again, anybody who has a problem with this has incurable cop-brain and you shouldn't listen to anything they say
tbh as much as official rereleases are good for accessibility, I also feel like a lot of people just won't play games if they don't have official versions and that's not great for culture. Everyone should be downloading random ROMs until they find that special one that breaks their brain wide open.

In recent drama, Hideo Kojima had posted a pic with Italian comic book artist Zerocalcare. Kobane Calling, documents travels to the Syrian-Turkish border and Kobane during the fight against Daesh. Kojima apparently came under attack on his socials and would delete the pic soon after.
