Just finished The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin, and I wish I was in an upper-division English Major course, because I'm DYING to discuss and dissect it, line by line.
I see how Baldwin is the foundation upon which Toni Morrison stood. She said as much ALL THE TIME. Now I get it.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
