When people celebrate the individual genius of folks in science, they should also
mourn the collective loss of genius of folks who were actively discouraged or disadvantaged from a career in science because of the same person(s)

To the world:
We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom.

Your American allies.

We had a chilly but inspiring afternoon in Indy. Thank you to the organisers and speakers for the broad perspectives of how the attempt to dismantle science will catastrophically affect us all. Let’s keep it going! #StandUpForScience #ScienceNotSilence @goodtroublein.bsky.social

Constant grades for everything, from age 5-20, are the reason my 300-level biochem students struggle to engage with the material on a meaningful level. I recognise the need in undergrad, but I ducking hate grades; they kill curiosity and creativity. Signed -a (primarily) undergrad professor.

Do the AAU and Land Grant Universities as entities on this suit include those institutions that are members but not specifically named? [Asking for a friend at #Purdue. Ok, asking for myself …]
February 11, 2025 at 3:50 AM
@davebangert.bsky.social have you been asking #Purdue administration about all the #USAID and #NIH cuts? 22 states that sued will now be able to access all their funds. Obviously, that doesn’t include us. The silence on all of this from university leadership is damning.
