Just here floating on a giant space rock like everyone else and living as best as I can.

Science is my life and poetry is my lover.

It’s wild when white artists are directly influenced by Black musicians and still manage to be racist.

Gene Simmons and KISS took their entire image from Patti LaBelle’s rock group, LaBelle. KISS’s manager saw LaBelle’s costumes and asked the designer to create similar outfits.

🧵 The story of #HenriettaLacks is a must read. Lacks went to Johns Hopkins because she felt a "knot" in her womb. She had previously told her cousins about the "knot" and they assumed correctly that she was pregnant.

I’m happy her family was able to come to a settlement. Check out the film as well as the book.

People who are unable to work due to disability aren't in either category, and are often in the worst poverty. Discourse that focuses on the term "working class" erases us, and reflects significant ableism in leftist movements.

One line at the max. Honestly, before they can even get the line set up, I'm heading for the nearest exit and setting my life up to act like we've never met each other before. Not finna be a part of none of that shenaniganery and tom foolishness.
How many lines of coke would someone you’re chilling with have to do in front of you before you leave?

Smiling and laughing without a care in the world. Seeing my people just being happy and carefree is my favorite thing.
In honor of black history day 10, what is your favorite thing to see black ppl doing?

I agree with this wholeheartedly! It has been a persistent struggle for me to not hold myself to the impossible standard of immediate, obvious, observable progress. It takes effort to remind ourselves that we have time because everything, even the stuff that feels like it doesn't, takes time.
I feel like the fast paced society we live in has brainwashed us into thinking that we can just upgrade life real quick. i've forgotten the natural cycles of life, like slowing down. like how a tree grows or the sun rises at its own pace

I always forget that man exists but it's fuck Cee-Lo Green for life. I wish him only the absolute worst.
If you forget Cee-Lo was charged with SA, got off and took to Twitter to explain it ain't rape unless it's violent. Fuck that dude.

I think it does a little bit of both. Social media allows people to connect with people they never would have known existed otherwise. On the other hand, it also allows people to isolate themselves and/or others if they can't create a life outside of it.
do you guys think social media connects people more, or just makes loneliness louder?

The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.

Being held and gently, non-sexually touched while just letting me talk without judgement and with full focus on what I'm actually saying.

It's a new experience for me but I appreciate it deeply. It soothes my brain so much.

I love the song. I just wish that I'd never seen the "Mack" that is supposedly returning in the music video. It makes it a smidge hard to take him as seriously looking like that.
