Does he understand that people need regular pay to be able to make ends meet? Did he talk to creditors to have them do their patriotic duty and not collect principal or interest payments when these folks didn’t have an income? Obviously not because he doesn’t care about anyone but himself.
Trump to air traffic controllers: "For those that did nothing but complain, and took time off, even though everyone knew they would be paid, IN FULL, shortly into the future, I am NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. You didn’t step up to help the U.S.A. against the FAKE DEMOCRAT ATTACK"

Maybe I’m setting my kids up for failure, but I want absolutely no part in travel ball for any sport with my boys until the teenage years.
One of the most surprising things about parenting in this day and age has been how early the Youth Sports Machine enters the picture. My son plays soccer. He loves it, and he's pretty good at it, so naturally, he's been invited to join a travel team for 5-year-olds.

“Take responsibility for…” sure sounds like some new dangled indentured servitude. Have we had something similar before in the US where we did our own form of that? How did it go?
Trump: "We're looking at doing something where in the case of good, reputable farmers, they can take responsibility for the people they hire. Because we can't put the farms out of business ... I never want to hurt our farmers. They keep up happy and healthy and fat."

How many people in the private sector actually get this day off even?
I’ve seen better Juneteenth remarks.

What’s strange is, I largely agree that BS email jobs don’t provide a ton of stimulation. Making things and being able to see a finished product that you’ve worked is in fact really fulfilling. The problem: we don’t value that as a society and few can live on the poverty wages those jobs provide.

Agree so much with this take. One commenter brought up how big a factor having money is for getting ahead. That’s a massive leg up these days as well.
As a former child junior olympic-level runner, I have a few thoughts on the attacks on trans girls in sports. I ran for one of the most competitive teams in Southern California, and people who ran for my have gone on to become professional athletes. And these bans: they're fucking NONSENSE. 🧵

A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

Man, I decided to listen to Tucker Carlson’s show to see how people fall into the BS and my god his little giggles are the most annoying thing I’ve ever heard.

Bill Parrish didn’t have room for burger buns in his SF hot dog trailer in 1950, so he made his patties cylindrical and put them on hot dog buns.

The result? The Olympic Club’s famed Burgerdog, which has been lauded by everyone from Barack to Tiger. My latest: www.sfgate.com/food/article...
The $12.50 SF burger that’s worth every penny. Just ask Tiger Woods.

I always tell my kids it’s super critical to learn how to “read the room”. I guess it’s not that critical for being the Mayor of a major city though.
