They hold ALL of the levers of power and know it. The only thing they lack is popular support. I don't know how we are going to survive three more years of shit.
Their "enemy within" is effectively anybody who won't join them. Some enthralled in his orbit mistakenly believe they represent a majority of the populace, others do not care whether they do.
I don't think enough people have internalized that Trump, members of his administration and many elected republicans, have an incredibly warped view of the US and are now preparing to act on it.

Kavanaugh and the rest gave zero thought to the fact that being stopped once doesn't change the fact that one still "looks" Hispanic and is therefore subject to profiling for the rest of one's life. There would be no end to these "brief" stops.
This is a paragraph Brett Kavanaugh wrote on his little computer and then sent out into the world:

the real glory of world war two was that it involved a warrior cult being ground down and beaten to a pulp by people who would rather have been doing something else.
Hegseth: "Maximum lethality -- not tepid legality. Violent effect, not politically correct. We're gonna raise up warriors. Not just defenders."

I'm sorry, but this is some fucked up shit for a president to post. He's going to war with a US city? It's very revealing that the cities he constantly talks about invading happen to have one thing in common - mayors who are black (and governors who are democrats).
The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city.

This is not a joke. This is not normal.

Donald Trump isn't a strongman, he's a scared man. Illinois won’t be intimidated by a wannabe dictator.

A decade ago, the Heritage Foundation went full meltdown about how Obama was an imperial president when he had issued about the same number of executive orders -- though he had reached it after six years, not six months.

The president is sending the military to control American cities and if you're a reporter who's framing that illegal power grab as "pushing the boundaries of constitutionality" or "acting boldly to fight crime" or whatever, please go find another line of work where you won't get us all killed.

The democratic leadership seems clueless. I doubt they could even find common ground for naming a post office. Meanwhile, Trump does whatever he wants and can count on the Supreme Court to back him every time.
Hakeem Jeffries: "Donald Trump promised that he would lower housing costs on day one. Here's a suggestion for the Trump administration: try to legislate, and maybe we can find common ground in order to get something done for the American people."

As Trump was threatening to militarily invade and occupy the city I live in, the leader of the opposition party offered to find common ground with him.

I fucking hate these people. They are worse than useless.

Top democrats still don't get it. Sending the military to occupy US cities isn't a distraction - it was the plan from day one. Jeffries needs to go. At this point, the Epstein files have become the distraction.
Jeffries on Trump planning a military crackdown in Chicago: "We should continue to support local law enforcement and not simply allow Donald Trump to play games with the lives of the American people as part of his effort to manufacture a crisis and create a distraction because he's deeply unpopular"
