It’s really just that simple. Reconstructing the Soviet Union is Putin’s fever dream. Snap out of it, Volodya.
Russia came with tanks and lies,
calling murder "liberation".
Now they sit at tables
demanding we call their weariness "compromise."
You don't get rewarded
for stopping the fire you started.
You don't get land
for the blood you spilled.
Peace is as simple as going home.

1) Start the worst European war since 1945 and commit every imaginable war crime
2) Decide how you want to be rewarded for your aggression
3) Leak the list of your desiderata to the US press
4) Wait for the US president to enforce your wish list on your victim.

Stay curious, friend.
I am a chronic Googler. It does not matter what the topic is. If I do not understand what someone is talking about it, I’m going to look it up. Every time. Even if it’s none of my business, even if it’s not important. To know that I don’t know something is like an itch that must be scratched.

Please tell me you understand what a huge responsibility we all have to vote in the US.

It’s our voice. It’s our choice. It’s the power we have as a people.

Vote.

Some orders are unlawful on their face, and every service members is OBLIGATED to refuse them.

The times call for a Democratic Senate leader who eats lightning and craps thunder. Bernie, Sheldon Whitehouse, Liz Warren, Ron Wyden, AOC and Jasmine Crockett come to mind.
The mutinous mood of the senators — who include Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, Tina Smith of Minnesota, Christopher S. Murphy of Connecticut, Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts — reflects the widespread doubts among the Democratic base that party leaders in Congress have…

Given Musk’s track record of ethical, safety and national security violations, his businesses should never receive another government contract or subsidy.

Musk’s xAI has secretly built its AI supercomputer, Collusus, using Chinese-made transformers, a security risk that leaves it vulnerable to espionage or sabotage

The use of Chinese components was previously unreported

The general is barking mad.
Michael Flynn is a crackpot and a fool, and should be shunned by polite society and relegated the the extreme fringe, where he belongs. Pay no attention to the ravings of a madman whose views are divorced from reality, and thoroughly unserious.

The Electricity War
More than any conflict in history, the Russia-Ukraine war has been about electricity. Now, a proposed peace deal would give Russia half of the juice generated by the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.

Peace in Ukraine? Try this, Bloomberg says.
- Sanction Sino-Russian trade of energy, dual-use goods.
- Support Ukraine’s ranged strikes with intelligence & weapons.
- Channel frozen Russian $$$ to Kyiv.
- End European imports of Russian energy.
A Ukraine Plan That Would Actually Work
President Donald Trump’s new peace ploy in Ukraine will likely fail. He has a chance, in the coming months, to craft an approach that might succeed.

UnitedHealth alone plans to cut its Medicare Advantage enrollment by 1 million in 2026.

The contraction is part of broader health-insurance industry initiatives to widen profit margins by cutting benefits, increasing premiums and prior-authorization hurdles and reducing plan offerings.
Oh, so this is about their Medicare "ADVANTAGE" (Disadvantage!) program.

NO ONE SHOULD EVER sign up for Medicare Advantage !!! It removes key, specific protections seniors have under standard Medicare-plus-Part-B.

It would be more surprising if there were any forethought given to this sabre rattling. Better to ask Big Oil what their goals and objectives are for Venezuela.
Sounds right on brand for the Trump administration.
Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Its goals were never efficiency or saving money.

Its goals were to destroy as much of government as possible forever, and to steal data for the Space Nazi.

DOGE is fading away like bank robbery gangs fade away after the robberies are done.

We have a US administration trying to bully Ukrainians into accepting Russia’s proposal that their sovereignty be undone. Aside from the naked injustice of this, there are five basic practical reasons why it would make the world far more dangerous.
