I've been writing about birthright citizenship for 20 years. This thread strings together my opinion pieces (not law review tomes, which I will post separately). I wrote a book about the Fourteenth Amendment and I debated John Eastman 20 years ago about his vile plan to end birthright citizenship./1
Ms. Dowd is most recently writing about film. I wonder when we will see a follow-up about "Donald the Dove."

Rubio Says Oil Quarantine Gives US Sway in Post-Maduro Venezuela
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US would use an oil “quarantine” to get what it wants from Venezuela’s new leaders following the ouster of President Nicolas Maduro.

I don’t think he ‘actually believes’ anything of the kind. He lies about everything. He is simply trying to please Putin.
We have a president who actually believes Putin wants Ukraine to succeed and will help rebuild it.

What a bunch of horse shit Putin fed Trump before and after his meeting with Zelenskyy.

This makes the US appear weak and Trump a stooge.

As we bomb Nigeria, lurch toward war for oil with Venezuela, and pack a satchel-fannied Louisiana courthouse clown off to Nuuk to demand Anerican annexation of a foreign country, I would like hear from Maureen Dowd about how Trump is the real dove. Yoo-hoo, Maureen?

Huge win, and an impressive triumph for @martylederman.bsky.social. As an Oregonian, I can't wait to hear Sauer argue that the US military can't control the depredations of naked bike riders and people in chicken suits.
NEW: The Supreme Court has denied the Trump administration's request for a stay of the district court's order blocking the deployment of National Guard in Illinois.

Disgusting media malpractice in the #NYTimes. The U.S. is instigating an armed attack on #Venezuela, and the paper buries its (short) report on page 11 of its Sunday paper. No words.
