When I was 23, I was working in a medical(ish) setting, and I mentioned something about a pine marten in a casual conversation. One of my co-workers interrupted me to tell me that it wasn't a real thing. The entire circle of co-workers agreed that I made it up to fuck around. There's a lesson there.
