WATCH: “Did you see Johnny Garrett has a bill to keep naturalized citizens from running for Congress? Is he saying you’re less American?”

Rep. Sabi Kumar (R) called Garrett & Sen Brent Taylor’s bill “UNCONSTITUTIONAL” (spoiler: he’s right)

There’s “a strong sign…[Homeland Security] wants to connect a range of databases [that] could include…biometric data, employment data, driving rcds, credit rpts, tax data, social media data, cellphone location data &…license plate reader data.”

Laws need to claw back data & punish past misuse too.
Really enjoyed chatting more with @tressiemcphd.bsky.social about how the federal government is weaponizing private data. Privacy has become a life-and-death issue, and I have a plan to rein the government in. Thread:

"Completing the 1st yr of his 2nd term,...he was implementing his 2nd-term agenda at home & abroad with surprising speed. Institutions were gutted. Enemies were targeted. History was rewritten. Unprecedented corruption was both overlooked & had reached the scale of a major multinational business."
Mark your calendars. This week marks the beginning of the end for Trump. Unfortunately, thanks to his ugly blundering, it also marks the end for an era of American leadership and international partnership that shall be sorely missed. open.substack.com/pub/davidrot...

Minnesota AG urges people to “take steps such as disabling location services on phones, disabling biometric authentication such as FaceID or TouchID, regularly updating software, & using secure communication tools with end-to-end encryption to protect themselves from DHS surveillance.”
Federal immigration agencies are using a vast surveillance network in Minnesota – from facial recognition technology to ‘stingrays’ that collect data by impersonating cell phone towers.

ICE detained a 5-year-old Minnesota boy coming home from school + took him and his dad to Texas, school officials say. The family has an active asylum case + entered the US at a port of entry.

"They’re taking children. They're not violent criminals. They're little kids," the superintendent told me.

I've been waiting for this.

Independent autopsy of Renee Good is in. It's strong evidence against Agent Ross, given what it means about the second or third shot through the left-side window.

It's the second and third shots that make the easiest criminal case of a willful killing.

"During my yrs as a military educator, I saw [US] officers wrestle w/ any no. of scenarios designed to challenge their thinking & force them to adapt to surprises. One case we never considered...was how to betray & attack our own allies [or ask what if] the pres. becomes a threatening megalomaniac"
If senior officers carry out what Trump is threatening against NATO, “the officers and enlisted people below them will likely obey the chain of command”—and “such an outcome would be a tragedy, and potentially a global catastrophe,” @radiofreetom.bsky.social argues. theatln.tc/OtxpMxan
