Way past time to topple the oligarchy.

We should have had #MedicareForAll by the 1970's.
Next year, Americans will see the biggest jump in health insurance costs in 15 years.

Meanwhile, the seven largest health insurance companies made a combined $71B in profits in 2024.

It’s far past time for Medicare for All. Here’s what you need to know.

A HUGE win for James Comey in his criminal case.

A federal judge orders the DOJ to turnover ALL OF THE GRAND JURY MATERIALS to Comey's defense team.

About to drop a new episode walking through the details of this scathing order on my YouTube channel!

So, ok. Raskin is very intelligent & studied. He knows that you can't defeat fascism/authoritarianism without support from defectors from the other side. Whether Greene really is one, it's important to signal to other prospective deserters that the door is open. That's what's happening here.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

"oh so the democrats have room for MTG but not mamdani" okay yes that's a big shitty problem BUT Raskin *enthusiastically* endorsed Mamdani months ago! So, y'know, everyone take a big breath here.

Absolutely no way to read this and not conclude that the Department of Justice has been deeply corrupted. And this is from a time when career lawyers were in place, pushing back against illegality. With firings and resignations, the politicization will just get worse.

Trump and Pete Hegseth just killed three more people in another bombing, this time in the Pacific. The dead were said to be part of a "designated terrorist organization," which is itself utterly absurd. No evidence provided.
Trump's illegal murders in the Caribbean just got worse. An internal DOJ memo on the bombings says the victims are waging war on the US, but per NYT, it extensively cites the WH's *own claims* to this effect as evidence!

It gets even darker than that. 1/

The way our constitutional republic works is that the supreme court is supposed to strike down actions by the executive when they perform an act that is exclusively granted to congress in the constitution. Whether it is a "signature policy" is irrelevant. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Since 1925, academic philosophy has moved towards professionalisation, and within that to specialisation. Professor John Haldane provides a historical overview of philosophy and argues for a philosophical humanism that was more prominent a century ago.

And we've known this for at least a decade.

Problem is, MAGA & the christian theocrats are trying to take us back to before the child rights movement of the early 1900's when the age of consent in the US was 10-12 in every damn state (save Delaware where it was 7).
