“Were Britain’s interests served by leaving the EU? And it is reasonable to note how the foreign state that saw the greatest benefit to itself in fracturing Europe’s democratic alliances, and that continues to machinate against western unity, is Putin’s Russia.”

A study by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) shows that estimates about the damage done by Brexit have underestimated its impact over the course of a decade. Data now suggests that Brexit has reduced UK GDP by 6%–8%, reduced investment 12%–18%, and reduced productivity by 3%–4%.

Everything he's reported to have said in this BBC piece sounds like he's desperately trying to distance himself, knowing that the connection is real and toxic. If the press were investigating Farage with the same enthusiasm they went for Rayner, he'd be done for.

Article talks of betrayal of voters but fails to mention..
Farage’s precious Brexit caused the labour shortages that exploded legal migration..
And the Brexit/EU withdrawal agreement would need to be renegotiated with this latest stupid, nasty idea.
Irresponsible politics.
Irresponsible reporting.

My mum has lived in this country for 53 of her 76 years. She came her from France and has lived, worked and had her family here. She is now a pensioner and doesn’t deserve to feel the kind of future-ruining fear and anxiety Farage is causing.
This must be resisted, we all need to step up!
Reform will apparently pledge today that they'd abolish indefinite leave to remain - including retrospectively, to people already granted it. Obviously this is a moral abomination but it is also a practical and legal impossibility.

They’re not reducing pollution – they’re redefining it.

The Environment Agency’s own rules mean most sewage dumps don’t count.

This isn’t regulation. It’s cover up. 💩

If the UK economy were larger, Labour would automatically be able to collect more tax without having to raise taxes.

If Labour were able to collect more tax, they could do more.

If they were able to do more, we'd all be better off.

Brexit shrank the economy. Let's undo Brexit.

This is not only offensive to millions of Catholics but is a stark insight into the mind of a deeply disturbed individual.

Appalling.
