This church protest is another example. No one was injured. People in the congregations were supposedly also angry. But for the vast majority of people outside, this is all they will see. It's not that protesters "took the bait." It's that the federal government desperately wants to escalate.

A thing I worry about every day is how all of this kind of ends. We are in a kind of post-truth situation, where what is happening on the ground isn't being relayed to the rest of the world and the feds only care about making content. The "problems" are entirely manufactured and fictive.
