Still really enjoying this game! It was very cool to not have some NPC be like, "Go talk to this dude in city X, and he will teach you how to ride horses," but instead have to figure out how to ride horses entirely organically. And just because you learn riding doesn't mean you can call the horse.
If you're looking for a new MMO to scratch that old-school Everquest itch, I've been playing Project: Gorgon over the past few days and really enjoying it! It's skill leveling, no character levels. If you want to do something (mage, archery, etc) you just do it enough until you're really good at it.
