Had an awesome snowball fight with daughter and her friend whilst I cleared the car earlier.

Caught a heavy one on the forehead, covering the inside of my glasses in snow, but also made both of them scream with shock/delight on a few occasions.

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

The latest research suggests that vulnerable road users would command the most attention dressed like a phone displaying nearby drivers' Facebook feed.
The reason why cyclists and pedestrians push back against these types of campaigns is not because we think visibility is bad (I wear hig-viz!), but because it's victim blaming that diverts attention from the real issues: dangerous drivers and poor infrastructure

And don't think that #Farage won't do the same here in the #UK too.

Once he's removed us from the #ECHR & we no longer have basic human rights, he can have what every #FarRight loon wants - complete control. We'll have no say in the matter.

Don't vote #Reform. They are a danger to our democracy.

Only a 57 month ban. Driving is a privilege earned, not a right. Why does our system not reflect this?
This is a unremittingly grim tale.
Frankly it should have been an attempted murder charge.
Not even 4 years for almost killing someone in a rage using a vehicle.

🧵 Yesterday's ride in was a great demonstration of how in towns and cities, cars are not the quickest (or most space efficient) way of getting around. I overtook 37 cars in total, most with only one person in them.

However, the video also does a great job of showing why I don't /1

We also mentioned that the brake-disks were rusting. We have several bikes with disks, none have rust. The Woom has.
