I left the wasps alone
in their corner of the garden,
getting drunk on
fallen apples.
Bit of a mistake.
I mean, I didn't—
I don't want the apples—
but the wasps are mean drunks.
Yeah, I know they're an essential
part of the eco-system,
I get that,
but I think the fuckers
glassed a pigeon

Things only a comedian/producer would post: I AM LOOKING FOR A TRUMPETER IN BRISTOL AVAILABLE THIS WEEK.

Long shot, but let me know. I will not block joke answers as some people do but I also won't laugh at them. I *might* roll my eyes indulgently.

Finally watched The Ballad of Wallis Island. Cried about swingball. Emotionally fragile? Possibly. Great film though.

Discussing Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil with @2hatsjo.bsky.social has already lead to multiple tangents. (Bloody good book, though, you’re going to want to read it on launch day.)

WHAT these are so cool
One more bookish set for good measure.

These biscuits are inspired by the weird and wonderful world of medieval illustration.

The dressing of the Arbor tree takes place on the Sunday nearest to May 29th in Aston-on-Clun, Shropshire. The origins of Arbor Day lie in 1660, when Charles II declared the day "Oak Apple Day". Communities would celebrate and decorate trees.
