I’ve had this couplet in my head for WEEKS. I don’t think I’ve even seen a mackerel sky in that time. May this drawing finally purge it.

Happy Glorious 25th. 💜

(I didn’t have time to make anything themed today, but here’s last year’s drawing.) #discworld #glorious25thofmay

Joanna and I are having a Cultural Day Out. Here are my two favourite printed-out signs and a selfie in a Belgian beer garden (large alleyway)

Anyway, here she is. She didn’t quite make it to five, which is a real shame, not least because she’d have made a great crotchety old dog. She was a pain in the arse and my little soulmate and I still miss her terribly.

It was the second anniversary of Día’s death the other day, so we went to plant snowdrops on her grave. She’s by the oak which is noticeably bigger than the others. Good work, little dog!

Echo for scale. Not very helpful unless you know Echo, I guess.

Er… good questions 😅 I think it was 48 frames in the end, 12 per A3(?) bit of paper, but god knows how long it took. Maybe a day. My scanner wasn’t working, so getting the photos of the frames lined up took nearly as long as the painting did.

Ahem. Apparently BlueSky didn’t like my gif.

Made this in 2021. Hand painted frames. Must have been a lockdown week.

Wrote this last year to celebrate the shared birthday of Edgar Allen Poe and Dolly Parton. Jolene (The Raven)

(I KNEW I’d forget to post. Only half an hour late, though.)

In the lead up to my grandmother’s funeral last week, I went through over a thousand photographs. This is the one that makes me most emotional— my grandmother with *her* mother, who died before I was born. Can’t quite explain why, but I cry every time I look at it.

I’m sorry to hear that SESAW is closing. It was the only place that would help me with the little rabbit we rescued. They’re good people. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
