There is a real disconnect between media outlets putting together live coverage of A-level results and celebrating those going to university whilst also ignoring the decimation of the higher education sector and the impact that, over time, this will have on the experience of most of these students.

Honestly reading this just made my day.
The tragic landslide in Blatten gives me the excuse to tell you the story of how we found out Ice Ages existed. It's a cool story and the most important bit is rather similar to what's happening now.
