Y'all, I think one of my favorite parts of the New Superman movie is that it was staunchly ANTI-war and ANTI-militwry, as opposed to the us government propaganda that Marvel delivers.

This years Gala theme is historically VERY relevant and celebrating black history and fashion seem incredibly important to me. If it's not your bag, I get it! Art is like that. But the Met Gala seems to get a lot of heat while other much more egregious wealth displays don't.

I think it's important to remember that The Met Gala is about funding art conservation. Fashion is art & history and what the Met does is make sure a lot of very delicate pieces that tell us how we lived & expressed ourselves through history. The Gala funds the Costume Institute specifically.
