Meet unlikely dining companions – Tytan the rhino and Notty the zebra! Rescued just a week apart, these two orphans are now inseparable. Where one goes, the other follows: during milk feeds, the two stand shoulder to shoulder, draining every last drop of their bottles. swt.bio/tytan

Do it for this reason alone. Make it a woman and Donald would be referring to her as Nancy Pelosi within a week. Guaranteed.
If nothing else, a new minority leader would force Trump to learn a new name.

In a world where the incumbent president bowed to pressure and stepped aside, it doesn’t seem like such a monumental ask to switch minority leaders.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.
Why?
It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

I just voted NO on the bill that fails to prevent the looming health care crisis and fails to rein in Trump’s lawless actions, but I won’t give up — and I urge the American people to stay in the fight despite this disappointing outcome.

UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

Onto Comey's vindictive and selective prosecution argument. This ¶ is super important, bc it gets to how inapt exist precedents on whether related investigators can be source of animus. A president is different.

The thing about the "I voted against this" position Schumer is taking is that either he is trying to mislead Dem voters by implying he didn't support reopening right now, or he has no control over his caucus.
