“If only people had voted for Kamala” is not the lesson here. What this moment shows is the desperate need to insist on different politics. Not a lesser evil but people who will abolish ICE, who won’t fund genocide, who believe in sanctity of human life. Anything short of that assures more death.

My gorgeous girl really deserves more attention. If more people understood what she teaches about know-your-place aggression, more “good” and “decent “ white people would realize it’s way past time for them to work deliberately to make society good and decent.

Nicki hasn't been hip hop since she dropped a verse on Monster.

Rapping =/= hip hop
I think Nicki hasn't been that relevant in hip hop for a while, she went deep into the tunnel of her standom who were there for whatever coked out nonsense she was on faithfully, & they keep her viable even if she hasn't been on top in the mainstream for a while. As well as feeding her delusions.

Religion note: Remember that pastor who was arrested protesting an ICE detention facility outside Chicago recently? The one who was photographed on the ground as officers arrested him?

That's Rev. Michael Woolf, and this is his church.

Amplifying for comrades in Sudan.
Multiple were martyred fighting the RSF and trying to deliver aid. They died trying to save lives. This is the very least to do to honor their sacrifice. Second post contains the donation link.

May the RSF, UAE, and all supporting this burn in fire.

An organizer friend says, repeatedly, that if it weren’t for Black women leaders there’d be no organizing. The church, naacp, D9 teach them how to organize, from the ground up in many cases. That and Heritage about the other massive training infrastructures left.
While this country has been out here slandering us, calling us DEI... I have to chuckle.

The average Black person raised during or before circa 1990-ish has more than likely led or organized *something.*

If we're outspoken, from home to school to church to the 'hood...

Y'all aren't hearing me.

Working in healthcare makes it obvious. Black women are so well organized beyond the needs of their jobs. A leader in the place I worked organized getting masks at the very beginning of COVID for all the communities nearby in addition to our workplace. Tens of thousands of PPE items
