I believe NCSX out of New York has finally closed up. 🪦

Abolish and prosecute ICE. They did a murder in broad daylight today. Imagine what they're doing in the closed facilities we're somehow not even allowed to see.

The sheer audacity of Alien Breed '92's end sequence! This is it! All of it! It goes from "This is your fault for buying a budget game" to "We ran out of space but on purpose" via "Using our ~huge~ selection of in-game cheats means you wasted your time" and then "Please buy AB2!" Fuck you too, AB92!

Media ethicists don't struggle to see where things went wrong. Flacks on panels. Guests allowed to lie with impunity, then invited back. Too much anonymous sourcing. Anecdotes replacing data. Fearing the government. Avoiding hard truths in favor of bothsidesism. Proft over news.

The performance on the Switch 2 version of Shadow Labyrinth is really bad. Scrolling is so choppy it’s hard to play. I should have gone with the PS5 version which is also on sale.

Humanity having to shut down the UGC stuff on consoles is a shame--consoles need a Steam Workshop like system that lets subscribers to the platform store their UGC in the cloud. It would make features like that much more economically viable.

Wow -- I never actually knew Atari did a Batman coin-op based off the first Tim Burton film in 1990? I've never seen this game before: youtu.be/dD5YTh8B5cM?... Looks like late period System 2?

If only Americans had a recent way to know how crucial immigrants were for the success of the Manhattan Project. A big Hollywood movie where a lot of the nuclear scientist characters speak with accents and talk about fleeing Europe that makes tons of money and wins a bunch of Oscars, perhaps.
Immigrant-hating Stephen Miller talks about Americans being "first to harness the atom." But the first controlled, self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction was conducted by a team led by Italian immigrant Enrico Fermi, who didn't become a U.S. citizen until a year and a half later.
