To me, this is the scary part until the deadline. Are the Wolves closer than anyone knows because Giannis is setting his own market, and it is a one-team market?

Giannis has a lot of leverage here, and all he has to do is flex it, not actually implement it. All he has to do is have his agent tell teams "nah, I don't think Giannis would extend with your team," and there goes the market. Giannis can effectively set his own market, can't he?

I tend to agree with you, but the wolves do *really need* a guy who can bring the ball up against pressure for the playoffs, so I can still see trading Mike as facilitating a smaller move for a legitimate guard
