I'd want to retire in my 50s in the worst case scenario, working til 80? Kill me now
Folks are getting carried away with calling stuff "ageism".

Thinking any 45 year old is unqualified to enter a new industry: ageism.

Thinking any 25 year old is incapable of leadership: ageism.

Thinking an 80yo is likely to have an unforeseen adverse health event at any time: statistics

If companies were smart they would have a reusable asset library from which they could reduce costs, see from software reusing animation assets and even enemies across multiple games

I've released the BTSX E1 and E2 textures for reuse: www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/...

These were mostly made between 2008-2014, with a handful of later additions. It's a pretty sizable collection and I'm excited to see what people will do with them!

YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT! I HAVE WRITTEN A NEW ARTICLE!

this one's a bit weird; rather than doing my usual "trying to organize my thoughts and building a winding case that builds on itself," I decided to show you what my EARLY article creation process looks like:

docseuss.medium.com/some-loosely...
some loosely organized thoughts about dialogue sysin games
think of this as me trying to find out what parts of dialogue choices are load bearing game design and what else can be done with dialogue.

Wish I remembered that mod was a thing when originally recording the video! Someone in the replies back then also brought it up and I can doubly confirm that it actually plays surprisingly well for a port made in a vacuum

Phew, new Urban Decay update, finally. These broken windows took a lot of work, but I think they were worth it. There's now 940 bloody textures in this thing, so close to the big 1000.

1.4 'The Windows Update'
No, not one of those windows updates. Here are 120 new textures, mostly focused around expanding the selection of windows available. There are new factory and residential windows, a handful of window....

Every time I see a screenshot of a 90s 3D mapping tool, I'm always horrified by their UI. People were constantly breaking new ground, but they certainly didn't make it easy for themselves.
There's going to be a bunch of cool or unique images in here that we don't know the significance of. We're excited to see what you find!

In November 1999, the Zombo dot com website was created as a parody of the creative, but, largely pointless flash intros, which were trending at the end of the 1990s. Welcome... to ZomboCom.

29 long years have passed since I founded the emulation archive, Zophar's Domain, on 11.9.96. To this very day, the site still stands as a testament to an era that never actually disappeared but continues to live in the hearts of retrogamers all over the word. Emulation Forever!
