We always design with accessibility in mind and try to launch with features like high contrast colors & icons. Glad for an article to call this out!

"Accessibility is a big plus here. You get high contrast colors, toggleable textures, and helpful symbols to make gameplay smoother. On top of that, the app supports both online multiplayer for up to four players and offline play against AI, so you can enjoy it anywhere."

We added a daily challenge and random mode that randomize the layout of the map and the rules you play with. I'm excited about this feature for offering a twist on the game that isn't possible on the table but still uses all the fun mechanics of the game.
The day is almost here! 🏠Reiner Knizia’s My City is coming to Android and iOS this week!

Here are some previews of the app, including a look at our two app-exclusive game modes: Randomized Games and Daily Challenge!

We’re so excited to share that 🏠Reiner Knizia’s My City will be released on September 3, 2025 for Android and iOS!

Great thread that captures something hard to explain about how pursuing a vaguely artistic career feels impossible in American cities (I'm not even an artist)
I found this reply interesting ("Can those foreign companies open shop in the US?")

I don't think Japanese or South Korean menswear can be made in the US. At least, not without losing something. Let's explore why. 🧵

This is bleak
They are doing Defund The Police in reverse: Gutting the social safety net and giving unlimited power to a vast, violent gestapo to deal with the consequences.
With this vote, Congress makes ICE the highest-funded federal law enforcement agency in history, with more money per year at its disposal over the next four years than the budgets of the FBI, DEA, ATF, US Marshals, and Bureau of Prisons combined.

I truly don't understand why elected officials aren't legally required to meet with their constituents. It's not representation if they won't listen to us.

If you have changed your mindset about COVID since 2020, despite knowing that reinfection is common - this piece outlines how a lot of mainstream media narratives are straight from anti vaxx beliefs
The conspiracy theory that disease is “good” for u is a foundational anti vaxx belief. It’s false, yet many liberals and leftists have fallen for these Qanon level conspiracies bc they refuse to acknowledge that they were lied to by the govt. This piece explains www.thegauntlet.news/p/liberals-j...
Liberals joined conservatives to mainstream anti-vax beliefs about viruses and public health
Viruses are bad for kids' health. Public health is a collective effort. Liberals no longer believe either.

"I’ve learned in many ways to accommodate my symptoms and have a regimen in place that allows me to cosplay as normal in most situations. I am considered a mild case, yet my life is forever changed. There is still no cure. And without research and attention to the subject, there won’t be."
The Pandemic Never Ended.

"5 years later, it is sad to think about what could have been ... For a moment, there was a sense that we cared about the vulnerable. There was a moment of solidarity, somewhere within the trauma."

Worth noting that disability has become more (not less) stigmatized since 2020 - disabled and immunocompromised people have been abandoned to weather the pandemic on their own. So this is not the same type of rise as e.g. more kids identifying as gay when we made social and legal progress.
New York Times: “30 Charts That Show How Everything Changed…in March 2020”

“The number of people reporting a disability soared. Many Americans struggled with long Covid and reported cognitive issues like “brain fog”

An important piece on something you might have (incorrectly) dismissed as Just Pop Culture.
I wrote about how right wing creators are dominating the coverage of Lively vs Baldoni and how it has become a massive growth engine for the right wing media pipeline.

Liberal creators are either ignoring the biggest story in pop culture or regurgitating Candace Owens’ coverage to their audiences.

Conservative commentators are leveraging the case to dismantle support for #MeToo and amass unprecedented audience growth.

For my #longcovid people - any tips on treatments for dizziness upon moving your head? I'm 4 years in and have only had occasional dizziness in that time, but it's been persistent for the last 2.5 weeks. Not that bad of a symptom, but curious about a trick to help.

One way we balance cost and safety is by switching out our typical house filter in the colder months for a more expensive one that catches virus and bacteria. This way, when COVID/flu/pneumonia are spiking and we have friends over inside more, we have better protection. #cleantheair

I thought my insurance was fine until I got Long COVID and needed to use my insurance for more than an annual check-up and blood work. Since I have United, I've spent thousands of dollars this year on in-network care.

I've logged my symptoms and measured my HRV+resting heart rate with the Visible app almost every day for close to 2 years - it's paid off! As a UX designer, I'm thrilled to see smartphones enable a study like this through a simple daily check-in - especially with patients who may have low energy.
