Sometimes we have four different topics to follow (see: last year when we all did different "Sevens", and other times we divide out a topic between us. Either way, it's basically stunt poetry, and we'd like some help picking what to write about.
Hello, Sonnet Fans! We're gearing up for 28 Sonnets Later 2026, and we're looking for ideas for topics to write about! Any suggestions?

We've already written about mushrooms, artworks, historical figures, creation (and destruction) myths, and loads of other stuff - what's next? Help us find out!

Please use alt text when posting illustrations or photos or other images. I realize it feels like an inconvenience if you didn't ever do it at the other place, but folks who need it are a zillion times more inconvenienced every single day.

I need people to wrap their minds around the fact that here in Minneapolis, ICE broke the window of a vehicle yesterday, pepper sprayed the occupants, and arrested them, and shot another observer in the face today, and OBSERVERS ARE STILL GOING OUT TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBORS AT MASSIVE PERSONAL RISK
I’m eating lunch, I’m having a panic attack, I’m charging my phone, and then I’m going back out to try and keep my neighborhood safe.

If you're under 18 and doing indie audio drama - I love and support you but please watch out for people taking advantage of you! The AD space is as a whole really lovely, but there are bad apples here and they can be very charismatic.

Just read this (one of my current partners sent to me, coining the term "Unicorn Jailers" along the way) and one section in particular is *eerily* close to being a word-for-word account of a significant chunk of my life that is, thank fuck, well in the past. poly.land/2021/08/18/a...
Once Upon a Time, I Dated the Couple from Hell
Some long-time readers of my blog might know this (after all, it was a major plot line in my first book, a memoir of my first couple of years of polyamory when I didn’t know what I was doing and neith...

First superb conspiracy theory of 2026 overheard in the street! I love this. I feel it sets the tone for a superb year:

“Wales is fake.”

I see that the NY Post is going to give Rama the Michelle Obama treatment for the next 4-8 years. Unsurprising since she's a beautiful woman of color. She's already been called petulant, angry, hypocritical, etc etc... Hope she relishes their hatred.

Casting for our epistolary haunted house anthology This Address Does Not Exist opens on Dec 22.

We'd like to take this time to introduce our writers.

Guess I'd better finish the edits, then! 😅

This will be my first audio script EVER, and I'm really thrilled to be working with @lawofnames.com again.

Watch this space for casting calls and announcements!
And we're very excited to be able to announce that this collection will also feature @fayroberts.bsky.social 's deeply unsettling story "A Function of Power."

My 2025 Book Sales

Barnes & Noble: 1
Kobo: 1
Apple: 7

Amazon (Jan-June): 7

Direct (Oct-Dec): 4

Itch (May-Dec): 380

Indie authors, these stats are why I recommend Itch bundles 😉. Also, these are almost entirely sales resulting from social media posts. I had maybe 2 sales via newsletter.

See, I didn't study history formally past the age of 14, so I don't know much, but I've heard of Neville Chamberlain, Churchill's predecessor and it turns out, well, yeah, not far off.

Panic attacks suck. Flashbacks suck.

Basically: trauma sucks, and abusers should be the ones feeling shame, not us.
