An art director should be involving themselves in discussions that touch on the game experience. We’re game developers, not decor-makers or mannequin designers.
If you only aim to ship a good-looking game I don’t think you’re in the right industry or role.

Some glazed tiles that i worked on last week. Most of my effort went into the coloring. I thought i could get it done fully procedurally quickly but ended up using a lot of layers and masks step by step. #substancedesigner #substance3d #madewithsubstance #gameart #materials #textures

Did some wood sculpting practice this morning, still aiming for the Wayfinder style :))
I think I'm getting closer and closer, slowly, but surely. I still see some things I can improve upon, and I'm enjoying the process, so I plan on doing more practice this weekend! 😄
