I hate how AI bros are ruining the word vibe. I work a lot by vibes but it's based on an intuition that comes with lots of experience and knowledge. In their case it's an euphemism for knowing f all about what the hell they are doing.

Thought i brain farted and forgot how to use Substance Designer. Turned out my mouse middle button was broken. Now i have to buy and get used to a new mouse which i always dread because it sucks so much when it doesn't feel perfect.

Interesting watch for material artists actually. Doesn't hurt to get some knowledge about how things that we try to recreate are made irl.

David Lynch will be missed. Lost Highway in particular was such a huge influence and inspiration for me. My morbid curiosity for all things weird and creepy stems from my younger self having his mind blown by works like this.

I second that sentiment. Also the connections that i made back then are still super important. They got me my first job and occasionally i still get jobs through them 15+ years later.
tbh I'm forever grateful I got into game art through the modding scene where collaboration wasn't just encouraged but the lifeblood of the community

I doubt I would have gotten anywhere with art if people didn't share and work together so freely and enthusiastically. big 💜 to all who built that

New wip of my towel substance. I like where things are going with the fibers but the pattern is too intricate for this size. So some tweaks will be necessary. I will also likely make the towel worn+dirty or bloody if i want to use it as a portfolio piece. #gameart #substance3d #madewithsubstance

I wasn't sure at first what would be the best approach to do a towel on a square material then i realized that my towel has two different sides with inverted colors and they fit perfectly. So today i made a mask that will help with coloring and the scatter atlas. #substance3d

Path of Exile 2 is gonna be my main gaming addiction for the coming years. Already spent more time in the "bare bones" early access version than any D4 season and still plenty to do. It's gonna be nuts when the game is complete and new season mechanics get added on top. #poe2

Happy New Year everyone! Ngl 2024 was a pretty crappy year for me. Bunch of big disappointments in terms of work/job. But not all was bad. I was way more productive than the years before. My resolution for 2025 is to fix my fatty liver by losing weight and to bring 3D back into my workflow/tools.
