It's Thursday and I'm still at 0 for the week. At this rate, I'll be short on rent, and going into a new month in the negative without jobs is really scary. Please help if you can, please share. I hit 700 followers today and me begging for help rarely even gets like 5 notes.
another week w/o gigs, another call for #mutualaid, unfortch. Takes about $150/wk to survive (food + shelter) & I'm at a crisis point re: unable to buy clothes since pre pandemic. Small amounts add up, shares help, & you get so much writing on my ko-fi in thanks. I have Venmo too - MirandaBrave.

GrapheneOS is great and I recommend it all the time for Android users who are concerned about spying by governments and law enforcement.
"We’ve reached out to Google to inquire about why a custom ROM created by volunteers [@grapheneos.org] is more resistant to industrial phone hacking than the official Pixel OS. We’ll update this article if Google has anything to say." arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025...
Leaker reveals which Pixels are vulnerable to Cellebrite phone hacking
Cellebrite can apparently extract data from most Pixel phones, unless they’re running GrapheneOS.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

NPR today: for the first time in over 50 years we are now operating without any federal funding

Also NPR today: now for some uncritical coverage of the people who made it so that for the first time in over 50 years we are now operating without any federal funding
Love hearing an NPR reporter repeat Vought's line about "unconstitutional DEI principles" with nary a query about what the fuck that actually means. At some point we need journalists to make this administration explain some of these batshit utterances.

Why not cancel your subscriptions to the media conglomerates that are firing people and give that money directly to the people they're firing instead?

My contract was just terminated without any explanation or prior communication. Since January, I've written a lot of pieces I'm proud of for Collider. They're in this thread! I'd love to write about film and television for you. Show this to beloved editors. See replies to support me.

"As the film’s lore & violence expand, the foundation of John Wick remains love. In a world that feels more akin to mythology than standard American revenge films, Helen – & John’s love for her – feel exceptional because of Helen’s humanity." #film #action

Lots of good stuff in here for $15 bucks!
I wouldn't shilling so hard if it wasn't an emergency. Had some unexpected expenses this summer (which is the slower season for my household) and we are try to catch up. Please consider grabbing EVERY PAID GAME I HAVE for $15 bucks and/or sharing this around.

Thank you so much!

I’m glad people are being critical of our country but it is funny seeing white people experience classic POC thoughts for the first time. Folks are like “suddenly the patriotic outfits feel like red flags 🤯🤔”
