I guided the fam towards rewatches of SPIRITED (still great) and MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL (a classic) the past two nights, but tonight I've been outvoted so we're watching the GRINCH with Jim Carrey.

Finished PLURIBUS. Pretty great, but I'm annoyed that Carol didn't take advantage of having access to all human knowledge to find out who killed Jon Benet Ramsey (and confirm my long-standing theory that it was the brother).

Finished BROADCHURCH. Just fantastic television across the board, from the mysteries to the characters. Especially moved by its ongoing attention to the family of the boy killed in season 1 as their grief is allowed to go in downbeat directions. Andrew Buchan's turn as the dad is heartbreaking.

Not a food trend guy, but I've been wanting to try one of these ever since I saw Bourdain gush over them at a Japanese 7-11. American version is slightly different (has crust for some reason), but it's still a mellow but very tasty delight.

Don't underestimate the genuine lift you'll get from receiving a physical holiday card in the mail from a good person.
